Author Biography: Brian Williams
Having worked his way through college and experienced the transition to professional life, Brian understands how credit affects people’s lives. Brian was born in the New York City area and later moved to Tucson, Ariz., where he began his formal education and where he cultivated a love for writing. He later settled in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and wrote an underground newspaper, which he sold to junior high and high school classmates. While this early venture was more of a salve for teenage angst than true news writing, Brian went on to the University of Texas at Arlington and earned a journalism degree. Afterward, Brian worked throughout Texas, writing and editing at daily newspapers for 11 years. He wrote extensively about public education, state government, city government and business issues. Outside of work, Brian has volunteered time reading to children with the Communities in Schools organization and he has also judged high school writing contests. Now, Brian works to ensure people understand the role credit and debt play in their lives.
