"Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd need help getting out of debt. I owned my own house, worked full time, met my financial obligations, and lived within my means. Due to unforeseen circumstances, however, my husband and I both found ourselves on unemployment within 3 months of each other. We'd used most of our savings and working capital to save the small business I worked for, which ultimately failed. As a result, we ended up with over $50K in credit card debt, and all of my revolving credit rates skyrocketed to almost 30%.
